Saturday’s Night of Destruction Closes Out
Perris Auto Speedway’s 2025 Season By Scott
Daloisio
Perris, California — November 17, 2025
— The curtain comes down on
Perris Auto Speedway’s 29th season this
Saturday night when Pick Your Part
unleashes the “Craziest Show on Dirt,”
Night of Destruction. The family-friendly
carnage fest features five wild divisions
— Figure 8 racing, a bone-rattling Figure
8 Trailer race, Mini Stocks tackling the
twisty road course, full-throttle Demo
Cross, and the always-unpredictable Double
Deckers. Spectator gates open at 5:00
p.m., with the racing — and crashing —
roaring to life at 7:00.

“I am
expecting a great show on Saturday,”
promoter Don Kazarian said on Monday. “In
all the years we have featured Night of
Destruction shows, this season has been
the wildest. Especially the Demo Cross
main event that ends every show. Just when
you think something is impossible to
happen, it happens. We ended the main a
few months ago with a Suburban on top of a
boat that was on top of a tractor tire.”
“Being that this is the last race of
the season, it should be wild,” Kazarian
continued. “It is the last race until next
year. So, the drivers have about three
months to repair everything they tear up
on Saturday. There are other drivers whose
cars are worn out and headed for the auto
graveyard after Saturday’s race. They will
tear them up one last time and then drop
them off at the salvage yard. It promises
to be crazy.”
Three championships
are already locked down heading into the
night. Beaumont’s Jesse Gordon, a
respiratory therapist at Kaiser Permanente
in Riverside, holds an unbeatable lead in
the Figure 8 class and will claim his
first title since 2019 — the fourth of his
PAS career. Hemet’s 49-year-old Lane
Hoffarth has also secured the Figure 8
Trailer championship and will proudly take
home his first PAS crown.
Four
other titles remain up for grabs — the
Mini Stocks, Demo Cross, Double Deckers,
and the Overall Iron Man. The most intense
battles are shaping up in the Mini Stocks
and Demo Cross. Defending Mini Stock
champion Steven Green Sr. of Lake Elsinore
carries a 33-point lead over his son,
Steven Jr., into Saturday’s showdown.
Demo Cross leader Brett Wayland of
Corona also holds a 33-point advantage,
with Fallbrook’s Dave Ausmus in hot
pursuit. Long-shot contenders include
two-time defending champion Trebor
Stephens of San Jacinto and Wayland’s
wife, Erin, trailing by 51 and 54 points.
In the Double Deckers, Lonnie and Cale
Skillman of Riverside need to only start
the main to lock up back-to-back titles in
their fan-favorite “Bug Ya’ Later.”
The coveted Iron Man title — combining
points from all five classes — comes down
to two drivers: Orange’s Rob Multhaupt and
Hoffarth. Both compete in Figure 8, Figure
8 Trailer, and Demo Cross. Multhaupt, who
raced at the legendary Ascot Park over 35
years ago, enters the finale with a
57-point cushion. But with 60 points
awarded to each main event winner and the
full-contact chaos of Night of
Destruction, the Iron Man crown could be
decided on the final lap of the final race
of 2025.
Fans are encouraged to
