PERRIS AUTO SPEEDWAY ADDS FOUR NIGHTS OF RACING DURING THE SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA FAIR By Scott Daloisio (Perris, CA, August 22, 2023) Perris Auto Speedway Promoter Don Kazarian has announced four additions to the 2023 racing schedule. The extra dates are October 12th, 13th, 14th, and 15th, and all will be in conjunction with the annual Southern California Fair. Popular Double Deckers are coming to the Southern California Fair. Doug Allen photo. The famous Riverside County half-mile clay oval has a long history with the fair, supplying some kind of motorsports nearly every year since 1996. However, this October’s schedule shows the track’s biggest involvement with the annual October fair in years. The PASSCAR Street Stocks and American Factory Stocks will be racing on the half-mile on Thursday, October 12th. Just 24 hours later, the exciting, high-speed PASSCAR Super Stocks will take over. On Saturday the 14th, the action will switch to the infield with crazy Outlaw Figure 8 racing and Figure 8 Trailer races. The fair will end its 2023 run on Sunday, October 15th. On the card that night will be crowd-pleasing Demo Cross and the zany Double Deckers. Fans will get into all four of the races absolutely free with their ticket to the fair. Racing will begin at 7:00 each night. All four races will pay points to the competitors in each of their respective classes. Night of Destruction Iron Man points (overall combined) will not be awarded as the mini-stock classes are not on any of the programs. The pit gate will open at 4:00 p.m. each day. “We are pleased to be a part of the fair on four straight nights,” promoter Don Kazarian said. “Fair events are always fun as fans get to enjoy the fair before and after the races and they get in free with their ticket to the fair. In addition to it being fun, it also exposes the drivers and the track to a brand-new group of fans. It is a great advertisement for everyone. Hopefully, we will pick up some new fans who will end up being regulars at our races through the end of the 2023 season and beyond." The Southern California Fair will open October 5th and will run through the 15th (closed on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday).
