STREET STOCKS RACE AT SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA FAIR OCTOBER 11! By Scott Daloisio (Perris, CA, October 8, 2019) The PASSCAR Street Stocks are going to make a special appearance this Friday night, October 11th, at Perris Auto Speedway during the annual Southern California Fair on the SoCal Fair and Event Center in Perris. A ticket to Friday’s fair gets fans into the race free. Topping the list of entries for Saturday’s race will be the crowd favorite, the “Hot Rod Blonde,” Alyssa Smith. The 17-year-old Norco High School senior has won the main event in each of her previous three starts including the last race at Perris on September 14th. Going into the last three races of the year, the 2019 Street Stock championship points race has turned into one of the best in the track’s 24-season history. The top three in the championship standings – Smith, Luke Dodd of Riverside and Temecula’s Blaine Whitson – are only separated by four points. Six-time champ Dodd sits on top of the heap with 106-points. Smith is two-points behind with 104. Whitson, who finished no worse than second in the first four races of the year, but who has finished last in the past two races, is third on 102. Saturday’s show will feature heat races and a main event. The first green flag will fly at 7:30. For fans who want to come early and enjoy the fair, gates will open at 11:00 A.M. After the races, the popular Christian band “Kutless” will be in concert on the main stage. Perris Auto Speedway is conveniently located on the SoCal Fair and Event Center (home of October’s Southern California Fair), approximately one-hour east of Los Angeles and one-hour North of San Diego. To get to the track, take the 215 freeway, on the Ramona Expressway and go three miles east to the fairgrounds.
