PERRIS AUTO SPEEDWAY’S SATURDAY RACE CANCELED! By Scott Daloisio (Perris, CA, February 7, 2019) Perris Auto Speedway’s planned season opener scheduled for this Saturday, February 9th, has been canceled due to the recent rain storms and forecasted overnight rain on Friday. The race will now be made up as part of a doubleheader at the next PASSCAR/IMCA date on March 9th. The 24th season opener will now be on February 23rd when LKQ Pick Your Part presents Night of Destruction. Photo courtesy of Don Kazarian. “The PASSCAR and IMCA event scheduled for this Saturday has been canceled due to several storms over the past week and the forecasted rain for Friday night into Saturday morning,” promoter Don Kazarian said. “The next PASSCAR/IMCA event is scheduled for March 9th and will be a doubleheader (two complete shows) in order to make up for the cancellation of the February 9th race. The pit gate will open at noon on March 9th and the first show will start at 5:00 P.M. One pit pass will be good for both shows. However, each registered car will have to pay for two entry fees.” “The spectator gate will open at 4:00 P.M. and one ticket will be good for both shows,” Kazarian continued. “All of us at Perris Auto Speedway are eager to get the 2019 season underway and we look forward to seeing everyone on March 9th for what should be one great night of racing.” Advance tickets for all 2019 Perris Auto Speedway races are on sale now online at https://pas.tix.com/Schedule.aspx?OrgNum=7 or by calling 1-800-595-4849. A reminder that the Kenny Wallace Dirt Racing Experience, which allows fans to drive real race cars or to take a ride along with a real race driver, returns to The PAS on March 10th and 16th. Fans can choose to drive between several different types of race cars including Late Models, Sprint Cars, IMCA - UMP Style Modifieds, Big Block Modifieds and L-Mods.
