PERRIS RACE FORMAT FOR FEBRUARY 15TH AND 16TH!

Perris Auto Speedway Presents “PASSCAR Late Models, MC Builder’s Super Stocks, Street Stocks & Modifieds”

February 15th & 16th

PROGRAM FORMAT – Late Models
Friday – All cars will accumulate points for qualifying and race participation to place themselves into Saturday Nights Program.
Qualifying:

All cars will qualify two (2) laps. The faster of the two (2) laps will be their qualifying time. If a car fails to take the green flag on its first qualifying attempt, it may return within three (3) positions of its originally drawn position, and will be given its normal two qualifying laps. If the car fails to appear within said three (3) positions, it will be allowed to attempt one qualifying lap at the end of the normal qualifying period within five (5) minutes from the last car to qualify. If a car fails to qualify on Friday it will be tagged to the back of the lowest racked race of the night.

Heat Races:

All cars will be in a heat race. The number of heat races will be determined based on the total car count. There will be a maximum of four (4) heat races. Each heat race will be fully inverted based on qualifying. The top four in each heat race will transfer to the twenty (20) lap A Main event. The cars finishing 5th on back will go straight to the B Main. Each heat race will be ten (10) laps.

B Main:

All cars finishing 5th on back in the heat races will make up the lineup for the B Main. The lineup will be straight up based on qualifying times. The top four (4) or eight (8) cars will transfer to the A Main. The B Main will be twelve (12) laps.

A Main:

The A Main will have a total of 20 cars. The fastest six (6) cars that transferred from the heat races will be inverted to make up rows 1-3. The rest of the field (rows 4 – 12) will be lined straight up according to qualifying times. The A Main will be twenty (20) laps.

FRIDAY’S PROGRAM FORMAT
MC BUILDER’S SUPER STOCK, STREET STOCKS AND MODIFIEDS

Friday – All cars will accumulate points for qualifying and Heat Race participation to place themselves into Saturday Nights Program.

Qualifying:

All cars will qualify two (2) laps. The faster of the two (2) laps will be their qualifying time. If a car fails to take the green flag on its first qualifying attempt, it may return within three (3) positions of its originally drawn position, and will be given its normal two qualifying laps. If the car fails to appear within said three (3) positions, it will be allowed to attempt one qualifying lap at the end of the normal qualifying period within five (5) minutes from the last car to qualify. All cars will be in a heat race. The number of heat races will be determined based on the total car count. There will be a total of four (4) heat races per class. Each heat race will be fully inverted based on qualifying. The top four in each heat race will transfer to the twenty (20) lap A Main event. The cars finishing 5th on back will go straight to the B Main. Each heat race will be ten (10) laps.

SATURDAY NIGHT’S FORMAT

LATE MODELS

Saturday night’s lineups will be based on the accumulation of points from Friday night’s program. Any ties in points will be broken based on Friday nights qualifying results.

C MAIN: ( if needed)

The lineup for the C Main will be straight up according to points starting with the 22nd car in points on the pole. The C Main will be twelve (12) laps. The top ten (10) will transfer to the back of the B Main.

TOP 10 – RUN FOR THE POLE

The top ten (10) cars in points from Friday that are locked into the A main will compete in the run for the pole. The 10th and 9th place cars will start the run for the pole in a two lap shootout. The 9th place car will choose their starting position (inside or outside row) the winner will stay on the track and the 8th place car will race the winner of the first race. The winner of each race will continue to race the remaining cars until there is one ultimate winner of the pole. The car that enters the track for their first race will get to choose the starting position. How you place in the Run for the Pole will determine the first five (5) rows of the A Main.

B MAIN:

The lineup for the first five (5) rows will be straight up according to the points starting with the 11th car in points on the pole and going back to the 21st car. Rows 6,7,8,9 &10 will be cars from the C Main and they will lineup according to their finishing order. The B Main will be fifteen (15) laps. The top ten (10) will transfer to the back of the A Main.

A MAIN:

The A Main will have a total of twenty (20) cars. The lineup for the first five (5) rows will be based on the Run for the Pole competition. The remaining five rows will be the cars that transferred from the B Main Event and they will lineup according to their finishing order. The A Main will be Thirty (30) laps.

SUPER STOCKS, STREET STOCKS AND MODIFIEDS

B MAIN:

The lineup for the B Main will be straight up according to the points starting with the 11th car in points on the pole. The B Main will be twelve (12) laps. The top four (4) will transfer to the back of the A Main.

A MAIN:

The lineup for the A Main will be the cars that finished 1st – 4th in their Heat Races. The top six point cars will be inverted making up rows 1 – 3. The remaining cars will lined straight up according to the points earned from Friday night’s program. The A Main will be twenty –five (25) Laps.
