(OCTOBER 26, 2007) As the Saturday October 27th races have been canceled at Perris Auto Speedway due to the poor air conditions caused by the recent fires in the area, if you are one of our regular at The PAS, we would like to encourage you to go the Orange Show Speedway on Saturday night. Orange Show canceled their race for this Saturday a couple of nights ago as the parking lots are being used as one of the evacuation facilities for people being displaced by the fire. More than 4,000 people, many of them children, are currently staying on the fairgrounds. While there is no racing going, Orange Show management has arranged for a special night of Trick or Treating for the children who are currently staying on the fairgrounds and who may not otherwise have a Halloween this year. Please bring your racecar to display and candy to pass out to the children.
In addition to cars from the Orange Show, cars will also becoming from the Irwindale Speedway. Firestone is sending Big Foot to be on display and several other business' and individuals are donating costumes, candy and other goods to bring some cheer into the kids lives.
The event will run from 4:00 - 6:00 PM perhaps longer). You can unload at 3:00 PM at Gate 1 (just north of the Speedway on E Street.
