OVAL NATIONALS PRACTICE FREE FOR THE FANS!
(OCTOBER 25, 2007, PERRIS, CA) There will be ghosts, goblins, witches and Sprint Cars flying around Perris Auto Speedway next Wednesday, October 31st, at the practice session for the 12th Annual Budweiser Oval Nationals, presented by Temecula Valley Pipe & Supply. The session will only be for cars entered in the prestigious race and it will be free for all fans in the grandstands. Practice is slated to start between 5:00 and 6:00 PM. 

The practice session was initiated last year and proved very popular with the out of town teams who used the extra night to get their cars and drivers dialed into the famous Riverside County clay oval. 

The session was also very popular with fans as they got to see the drivers, hear interviews and, of course, listen to tunes on the tracks famous 60,000 watt digital sound system.

The Budweiser Oval Nationals will take place on November 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Saturday’s A-main event will pay $30,000.00 to the winner. With the race still over a week away, 67 of the fastest Sprint Cars and top drivers have already entered the event. Thus far, drivers from eight states have entered along with drivers from two provinces in Canada.

Lakeside, California’s B&B Heavy Equipment has stepped on board and will pay the $1,000.00 point bonus to the top 360 point scorer from Thursday and Friday (combined). They are also paying $1,000.00 to the top point scorer overall from the first two nights and will pay another $500.00 for a new track record set on the weekend. In addition, the top finishing 360 on Saturday night will also receive a $1,000.00 bonus.

The Oval Nationals will encompass six days of fun and racing in 2007. On Tuesday afternoon, October 30th, the 2nd Annual ITI Performance Motorsports Oval Nationals Golf Classic will take place at the Moreno Valley Ranch Golf Course followed that evening by the tournament banquet. On Wednesday night October 31st, there will be a practice session open to all Oval Nationals entered cars and it will be free for the fans in the grandstands. The first night of the racing will be Thursday, November 1st and it will feature qualifying for all cars followed by heats, semi mains and an A main. Friday November 2nd will feature the same wild program as Thursday. During the daytime on Saturday, November 3rd, the Annual Pick-a-Part $1,000.00 to win Corn Hole (bean bag) Tournament will be held. Saturday night will feature the main events including the $30,000.00 to win A main. The week will conclude with the Cory Kruseman Sprint Car Driving School on Sunday, November 4th.

Perris Auto Speedway is located on the freeway close Lake Perris Fairgrounds, home of the Southern California Fair, approximately one hour east of Los Angeles and one hour North of San Diego. To get to the track, take the 215 freeway, exit on the Ramona Expressway and go two miles east to the fairgrounds.
