CHANGE TO PERRIS AUTO SPEEDWAY LATE MODEL SCHEDULE!

(AUGUST 21, 2007, PERRIS, CA) It was announced on Monday that Perris Auto Speedway has made a change to the schedule of the Art’s Concrete Pumping Extreme Late Model Series. The Late Model portion of “Champion’s Night” has been moved from November 10th to November 17th and will now be part of the Jack Kindoll Classic with the Lucas Oil USAC/CRA Sprint Cars presented by Temecula Valley Pipe & Supply. The MC Builders Super Stocks, PASSCAR Modifieds & Street Stocks and the Pick-A-Part Cruisers will still contest their portion of “Champion’s Night” on November 10th as originally scheduled.

The move was made due to the Western All Star Super Dirt Late Models being added to the Western World Championships at Phoenix, Arizona’s Manzanita Speedway on November 8th and 10th. “The Western All Stars are now running at the Western World at Manzanita and several of our drivers want to compete in that event, so we are moving our date,” stated Perris Auto Speedway promoter Don Kazarian. “The Western World is going to be a great opportunity for the Western All-Stars and West Coast Late Model racing in general. The NASCAR Nextel Cup, Busch & Craftsman Truck Series’, USAC Silver Crown Series and the USAC National and USAC/CRA Sprint Car Series will all be town. Tons of fans who have never seen the Late Models before will get the opportunity.”

Kazarian went on to comment that this will be a great opportunity for The PAS as well. “We will be able expose our local Sprint Car fans to the great racing the Late Models put on at The PAS. They will also get a chance to see Mike Kirby in a Late Model. He was one of the best Sprint Car drivers to ever set a tire to The PAS and now he is one of the best Late Model drivers to do so as well.”
